Located at some minutes drive from the Walt Disney
World Resort Area, Fantasy of Flight presents
the world's greatest collection of vintage aircraft.
Here you can climb aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress
and feel the adrenaline rush as you prepare for a World
War II bombing run, or fighter through a simulated battle
mission over the South Pacific in Flight Simulators
in Fightertown.
During the Aircraft of the Day demonstration
a pilot will give you a brief history on the aircraft
and answer your questions. Then he will take the aircraft
to the skies over Fantasy of Flight as you watch
aviation history come alive.
Also, there is a Restoration Shop Tour, where
you find out exactly what it takes to restore these
aircraft in flyable condition. And besides, you can
try Hot Air Balloon and soar over central Florida.
Fantasy of Flight is situated right off I-44 Exit in
Polk City, Florida, between Tampa and Orlando. |
