The zoo homes some of the most extinct animals
from Latin America, Africa, Florida
and Australia: white rhinoceros, dingos, panthers,
wallabies, exotic birds. Some of the residents of the
Zoo are exhibited along a shady tropical boardwalk.
Eco Tours
Brevard Zoo features unique kayaking eco-tours
of the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon. Most tours
are four hours in length, include kayak instruction,
lunch and a trained naturalist guide.
Petting Zoo Area
Petting area is the children's favorite attraction
of the zoo. Here they can interact with Coco (America
miniature horse), Pepper (miniature donkey) and other
friendly animals.
Expedition Africa
The new 10-acre Expedition Africa exhibit must
not be missed. Guests of the exhibit will meet beautiful
creatures from the Dark Continent. The white rhinos,
Howard and Max, lumber through the grasses and might
even take a wallow. An elevated platform allows guests
a view of the entire habitat while they hand-feed the
gentle giraffes.
