| Animal Kingdom ![]() Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom park is much more than a traditional zoo. It's not just watching the animals, but also a fascinating adventure that gives visitors the feeling of admiration for our planet. The Animal Kingdom Park covers 500 acres. Among it's residents are over 1700 animals representing 250 different species. Great efforts were made to re-create their native habitats. Discovery Island
The Tree of Life, located at Discovery Island, is the centerpiece and the icon of Animal Kingdom. There are trails that take your around the trunk of this entire tree. The Tree of Life is home to the 3D attraction, "It's Tough To Be A Bug". Guest can put on "bugs eyes" and experience life from the perspective of an insect. Kilimanjaro SafariAn open-air safari vehicle takes visitors on an amazing journey through the African Savannah. Elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, gazelles, zebras and a bevy of other animals freely roam the terrain. Pangani Forest Exploration TrailsTrek into the forest in search of gorillas. Besides gorillas, guests encounter Nile hippos and exotic birds.
Vultures, hawks, colorful macaws, crowned crane and the American Bald Eagle are the characters of this show. DinoLand U.S.A![]() DinoLand includes such attractions as Primeval Whirl (spinning coaster sending guests through curves and hills), the Boneyard (fancy playground for kids), TriceraTop Spin (a spin aboard a whirling, twirling, friendly flying dinosaur) and Dino-Sue (a reproduction of the largest, most complete T-Rex ever found). Camp Minnie-MickeyHere children can meet their favorite Disney characters and make a photo with them. The fabulous Festival of the Lion King show is performed in this section.
